Reel Interview: Bridgerton Star Will Tilston on Bridgerton Season Four and Gregory’s Journey

The Bridgerton siblings wouldn’t be complete without the sweet, yet mischievous, youngest brother, Gregory Bridgerton, played by Will Tilston. Tilston has grown up before fans’ eyes on the show, and season four showcased him and his youngest sibling, Hyacinth (Florence Hunt), as they prepared to enter Regency London society.

After the worldwide success of Bridgerton’s season four release, Reel Talk & Reviews chatted with Tilston about his journey in Bridgerton, TikTok dances, and his hopes for Gregory’s future.

Season four took the internet by storm, particularly a scene led by Tilston and Hunt on the ballroom floor. Gregory and Hyacinth’s recital stole fans’ hearts as the young siblings performed their routines and desperately tried to dance with their crushes. To make the scene even sweeter, a string quartet cover of Charli XCX’s“360” plays in the background. Tilston joked that the dance was much harder than it looks.

“I was not expecting my calves [to hurt] after the first day, [they] were killing me,” he admitted.

Tilston’s intense Regency-themed leg day, however, paid off. The scene instantly won over audiences, with devoted fans taking to social media to reenact Gregory and Hyacinth’s routine.

If you’ve ever wondered if your TikToks reach your favorite stars, they just might! Tilston hilariously had some critiques for fans posting the dance. Don’t worry, however, Gregory Bridgerton himself is here to help make your next video authentically Bridgerton

“They are all doing it wrong,” he joked. “It’s one foot after the other. I think if you go on to Jack Murphy’s Instagram, he’ll teach you how to do it. He’s the choreographer for the show.”

The dynamic between all the siblings is a cornerstone of the series, and Tilston gushed about his on-screen siblings every chance he could.

“I think it’s just lovely hanging out with whoever is on set, you know, because, like, those big ensemble scenes are just so much fun. And to be honest, I don’t even see it as working anymore,” he said.

Tilston thinks that kind of chemistry doesn’t only come from strong performances, but also from the real friendships amongst the cast.

“I think it’s really important to have really good relationships with these cast members off-camera as well,” Tilston noted. “I think the reason why everything feels so natural on screen, and why everyone loves this family so much, is because of how strong our relationships are in real life as well.”

Prior to season four, Gregory and Hyacinth’s roles mostly involved the duo watching the happenings of society from the sidelines, waiting for their turn to be like their older siblings. Season four is the first time fans get to see the two begin to take on society in their older siblings’ footsteps. Gregory returns from his semester at Eton, the boys' school all the Bridgerton brothers attended. Sporting a little facial hair, it’s clear Gregory is eager to be like his older brothers. As the Bridgerton siblings’ love stories progress, Tilston has some hopes for Gregory’s journey.

“I think it'd be nice to see him not follow the rules as much. I think right now, he definitely annoys his siblings, but he’s also a little bit of a goody two-shoes at the same time,” he continued. “He wants to do the right thing. But I think as he gets older, he goes through school and stuff like that, he’ll start to realize, actually, ‘I can mess around a little bit more and have more fun.’ ”

Speaking of some fun, Tilston definitely had some ideas for which Bridgerton sibling he’d want to play for a day if given the chance.

“I think Anthony!” He continued, “But maybe like a season two or season one Anthony would be quite fun, because he's definitely got a lot more emotions pent up, which I think was like quite a funny play. But you know, I’ll never do it as good as Johnny (Jonathan Bailey). He smashed it.”

Throughout this hit series, music has almost become a character in and of itself, with fans betting on which covers will make it into their favorite sibling’s stories. After chatting with Bridgerton music supervisor Justin Kamps weeks earlier, we had to ask Tilston which songs he thought Gregory would be listening to in 2026.

“Definitely a bit of Sabrina Carpenter, for sure! Maybe a bit of Michael Jackson? I don't know. I think you might like a little boogie or something! Okay, maybe end it off with a bit of Chappell Roan,” he suggested.

Here’s hoping we see Gregory get to do a Regency-style boogie to some pop songs next season! Be sure to check out our full chat with Tilston on YouTube and watch season four of Bridgerton, which is now streaming on Netflix
